Welsh Banquet
Enjoy a glass of mead when you arrive, then take your seats in the 15th Century Undercroft for a four course feast of hearty local dishes.
Traditionally costumed characters perform popular Welsh songs and invite you to join in the fun. The whole evening is accompanied by the enchanting sounds of the harp.

Older children are welcome to join the banquets if accompanied by responsible adults. They will be charged at the same rate and served the same size portions.
Oak-smoked Llyn back bacon filled with Penclawdd laverbread and oats, with balsamic & apple chutney.
Traditional Welsh cawl and baker’s roll.
Pembroke chicken filled with Caerphilly cheese and topped with Carmarthen ham. Served with a Cariad Wine cream sauce, minted new potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Tenby cream, fruits of the forest coulis & Danzy Jones flavoured custard.
Throughout your four-course dinner, wine or soft drinks will be served, all included in the price

Up to 104 guests can be accommodated in the Undercroft Banqueting Hall. A banquet needs at least 40 guests for an evening to proceed, this can be made up of more than one group. Small groups, families and individuals are very welcome and provisional bookings can be confirmed once the total number of guests for an evening reaches 40.
If there should be insufficient guest numbers, the client will be notified seven days before, offered an alternative date where possible or a full refund will be made

Evening tours begin from 6pm. The bar is open from 7pm and the banquet begins at 7.30pm. The banquet finishes at approximately 10pm and the bar closes at 10.30pm.
No onsite parking. A coach park is situated in nearby Sophia Gardens. pay & Display parking for cars is siutated in nearby North Road.
Traditional Mediaeval costume or smart attire.
Location & Directions
From junctions 29, 32 and 33 of the M4 follow signs to Cardiff city centre. We are within easy walking distance of car parks, Cardiff Queen Street and Central Stations, and bus services. For coach parties drop-off points immediately outside the Castle offer easy access, with parking close by (the nearest coach park is at Sophia Gardens).
