Medieval Banquet
The Devil's Horsemen Banquet takes place in the Great Hall. The walls are lined with swords, shields and armour and is candlelit for dinner. As a guest of Gerard you will be treated in the same way any Medieval Knight would have treated the lesser gentry and other riff-raff. On arrival, jesters will sing to you of Gerard's brave deeds and direct you into the Great Hall for a reception, where you can purchase an aperitif before the banquet. After the reception a wench or knave will show you to your reserved seat and explain how to use the cutlery, no ferrets will be allowed at the tables. During the evening you will be served a four course meal by a team of "specially trained serving wenches and knaves" (please don't touch) who will make sure yor glass is continually full of mead during the meal.

Leek & potato soup with chunky farmhouse bread & butter **** Pate server with a chutney & salad *** Supreme of chicken - farmhouse style, served with new potatos and mixed vegtables *** orange & treacle tart served with pouring cream
Vegetarian Menu Spicy parsnip soup garnished with chive cream and served with farmhouse bread & butter *** A wedge of traditional handmade vegetarian pie served with a caramelised red onion chutney and set on a bed of seasoned leaves *** Crispy mushroom wellington Mushrooms, onions, leeks wrapped in puff pastry Serviced with an old ale jus and hot new potatos *** Heartly glazed bread & butter pudding
Vegetarians and and some special diets can be catered for if requested when booking.
The hall can seat between 100 & 200 guests for dinner

Public Banquets take place throughout the year with special Christmas & New years Eve Banquets. Special family banquets & shows are held on Sunday nights. Arrival from 6:00pm with a cash bar

Location & Directions
By road Leave the Great M1 Road at the 13th or 14th junction. Do not attempt to enter the town of Milton Keynes, at the moment it is full of pestilence and pocks and many who did have already lost their way. Follow the signs marked H8, which will help you by-pass the town and its troubles. Soon you will see the magic numbers A421 at the side of the road. NOW! Look for signs pointing in the direction of ancient Buckingham, follow these to the Mursley roundabout and turn left. After a mile or so take a left turning onto a private road marked Wychwood Stud and Medieval Banqueting Hall. The Great Hall is at the end of this long drive. If you pass the White Water Tower just before Mursley you have missed the turning.
